MERRY X-MAS!!!

Had 2 wonderful days with much food and some great presents...

Yesterday began with a quick breakfast and beaking some cupcakes. Apple cinnamon cupcakes with rich caramel frosting to be precise! Great batter and good frosting it was very easy to spread.

Not much....

...going on these days. 

I stand up, go to work and come back home. Yesterday was a bit anoying because there was a big traffic jam on the way to my work and thatfor I was a bit late. But work was okay, not really that much to do, I had to work till 10pm...boring...

There are only a few presents left and I will get them tomorrow...hope so. I made a few myself but can't show...perhaps someone is reading this who will receive one of them...;-) But I'll post them later, promise!!!

Do you have got all presents? What did you buy? 

On friday I bake some cupcakes with apple and caramal frosting. Hope they'll be delicious!?

I'm going to make many pictures of our fest, the christmas tree and everything. I would love to see how you all celebrate christmas...perhaps some of you like to send me some pics...I'll collect them and make a big post with all of the christmas-pics!!!

I don't know if I get the time to blog again before christmas, so....have a wonderful christmas and a great time with your family!!!

New bags in store!

Hey there!

Had some time to sew some new bags for my store on www.dawanda.de. I hope you like them and want them on your belt...;-)

We slept a bit longer today, we went to bed at 1am after a christmas-party at a friend. I'm so sad there is no more snow left, I'm hoping for some new one before christmas...;-) But the party was great, had some hot wine punch and made Jul Klapp! She decorated her hole flat into a christmas-land...very cool!!!

And today after dinner at my parents was time for some sewing...I made a wonderful Ekto-Kim bag in a light violette.

It was my free saturday and I used my spare time it for....BAKING!!!

Made some cinnamon biscuits...yummy...

Marcel couldn't resist trying the dough...om nom nom...

Didn't took really long and was easy to make, the most difficult were the whipped egg whites...so no problem at all. But there was my problem as usuall....too much dough...! The biscuits wouldn't fit in the oven at one go! It's always the same with cupcakes, it is too much for one muffin tray!!! Don't know how I do that...;-)

Winter Wonderland

On sunday our neighbours held a picnic in their backyard. Everything was made up with lights and fire and they had a tent. And I was standing in our kitchen making some crisps...delicious crisps!

I got a bit envious, so perhaps I'll make a winter picnic with Marcel in our garden....!?

But yesterday we made dinner together...salad and chicken nuggets....

I made my salad with tomatoes, cucumber, corn and feta-cheese and as a special...GORGONZOLA!!!

Hey everybody!!!

I had the afternoon for me alone again and used it to relax.

After the shower I took, I put my Arielle the little mermaid CD in the player and began to sew some bags.

I like to sew but I can't do it as often as I want to, it's sometimes a bit loud and you can't just sew for a few minutes...so, I often use the sunday afternoon for it when Marcel is at his roleplaying group.

Hey everybody out there!

Today was just a normal day like every other friday, nothing special happened.

It rained all day again. I have the feeling it is raining sine 2 weeks now. And since I have the early shift at work I don't see the sun (or light I should say) at all...I stand up in the dark and it is dark when I get out of work...

Don't like it at all...:-(

So, I don't have to work tomorrow  and Marcel and I  are having a cosy evening!!!

And I am trying a new drink...I bought a bag with 2 portions of matcha latte!

Mussels!!!

We were at my parents for dinner today, because my mum made mussels!

Marcel and my brother wanted to try them (I had tried them sometime ago...not mine).

First time for them and Marcel had a hard one, doesn't like them really. But my brother likes them!!! I can't believe it! He was the one who used to eat Cornflakes when he was hungry...

Back again....

I'm really sorry I did not write for so long, I had a busy week. My grandma died last weekend and there was much to do. I miss her very much and so I needed some time...

And there wasn't anything spectacular happening anyway.

Here are some impressions of the last week:

rainy day...

It rained all day, so work was good because it's inside. ;-)

But I get furious while driving....the other drivers are so slow!!!

Finally home it was time for dinner: onigiri!!!

I bought a pack of onigiri spices on our trip to Tokyo and last week we went to an asian market near our place to buy sticky rice.

I want a bigger kitchen...I need a bigger kitchen...;-)

I need more space for all the baking supplies and I don't have everything necessary for really beautiful, extraordinary cakes. Or a big table in the kitchen would be great!!!

That was my reward for todays work, I was so tired...

So, nothing great has happened today and I won't do anything more now.

Onion-Bread!!!

Hey, today I tried a new recipe for onion bread....and it turned out to be very delicious!

After breakfast (with my selfmade breakfast-bread) I prepared my kitchen to begin with baking. The batter is made with creamcheese and it's very easy to make. 

First I mixed the flour with the dried yeast and then I creamed together water, creamcheese, salt and sugar in a different bowl. After mixing the dry ingredients with the creamcheese mixture I left the batter at a warm place for about an hour...The next step was to knead the batter with my hands, I was affraid of that but the batter was that smooth and everything went perfect. Rolling out in a rectangle was easy aswell, I was so happy!!!

So, this will be my blog about everything else in my life exept travelling. And it's in english...

I thought about writing all this in my first blog (http://ekto-kim.blogspot.com) but that one is only about travelling.

Let's start then...

Today was a great day. I didn't have to go to work and had all day for baking....I LOVE IT!!!

I made a white bread for tomorrows breakfast and jelly of quince. *oishii*

And I got all ingredients for an onion-bread... It is the first time I'm trying that recipe, exiting!

Now I get me a tea and a blanket in front of the tv...

Next time there will be some pictures, promise!!!
